American Cloud Songs – Aum LP
Folk artist and American tattooer Robert Ryan turned the occult on its back with his solo recording endeavor under the name of American Cloud Songs . Ryan’s understanding of meditative drone coupled with hidden knowledge of the metaphysical plane make American Cloud Songs compositions stand over to the cliff, harmonically one would compare to the likes of Pandit Pran Nath mixed up with Daniel Higgs, steeped heavily in primitive folk tradition and sacred geometric imagery. Limited to 300 copies.

Tor Lundvall – The Shipyard LP
Tor Lundvall has graced Dais with yet another remarkable album to ring the early weeks of 2012. Previously, Lundvall had introduced himself to Dais with his masterpiece album Sleeping & Hiding and struck lightning twice with the resilient The Seasons Unfold box set and now we are humbled to be crafting the strings with the curation of his most recent effort. The Shipyard was recorded during the full season change-over of ’09/’10, during which time Lundvall was immersing himself in portrait studies of local maritime themes and nautical life at the docks. This instrumental collection of songs composed the soundtrack to the final renderings of these conceptional themes put side by side, for which semblance he is most know for. Limited to 500 hand numbered copies with artwork by Tor Lundvall.

Thee Majesty – Live at The Pezner 1999
For the past 14 years, the elusive collaboration between Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Bryin Dall has taken on various members and formations over the years, always keeping a steady focus on Thee Majesty and it’s balancing act of sound and word. Considered by most to P-Orridge’s “sound poetry” accompanied by Bryin Dall’s unusual instrumentation backdrops, recordings of this project has been selectively sparse. This unique live document captures Thee Majesty at its most flexible, changing up tone and structure at a moments notice and harmonizing the abstract poetry of P-Orridge’s mainstay language and Dall’s meditative and complex drones. Recorded live in 1999 at the famed Pezner Theater in Paris, France. Limited to 500 copies with liner notes by Bryin Dall.

aTelecine – Entkopplung LP
After releasing their debut LP on Dais in the summer of 2010, aTelecine composed the recent soundtrack to the English/German film Entkopplung . The film itself is a highly esoteric science fiction labyrinth in the shape of Phillip K. Dick meets William s Burroughs. “The surreality of certain dreams, or the intense attraction of a perplexity of new impressions in real life.” Recorded and mixed in a marathon four day live to tape session using the mammoth 226 page script and the existing 30 minutes of completed footage as a scoring template, the music is dark, paranoid and claustrophobic echoing the themes in the film. This electronic score should be heard as a separate but yet equal vehicle to the film, an experience the listener shouldn’t worry about it altering the later cinematic encounter. Sonically it’s mission is complex and none vocal, purely enriching the narrative…and melodically creating all the necessary in-between nightmare illustrations. Limited to 500 copies.

Genesis P-Orridge & Stan Bingo – What’s History LP
Originally released as a cassette on the cryptic Austrian tape label, Nekrophile, in 1983, this simplistic experimental recording was a industrial classic ahead of it’s time. Recorded in 1981 in the Hackney bedroom of Genesis P-Orridge, who at this point was romping through his final months in seminal industrial act Throbbing Gristle. Done as a spur of the ‘improvisational’ moment, Genesis was accompanied by then TG documentarian Stan Bingo (a.k.a. director Dan Landin) to try out some new equipment and spun into a unplanned composition. This original recording, due to the scarcity of its original format was somewhat forgotten, only to be coveted by collectors. This vinyl LP is an authorized reissue by both artists and limited to 500 copies.
Dais is proud to have releases set for 2012 to include Annabelle’s Garden, Dangerous Boy’s Club, COUM Transmissions, Deviation Social, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Aaron Dilloway, A Produce, York Factory Complaint and more….
